Theresa Foks-Appelman is a registered creative arts therapist and Teaching Member of the International Society for Sandplay Therapy, practicing in Nuenen, the Netherlands. She serves as Secretary of the Nederlandse Vereniging voor Sandplay Therapie (Dutch Society for Sandplay Therapy) and is a member of the International Playtherapy Study Group.
Foks-Appelman is the author of 'Draw Me A Picture: The Meaning of Children's Drawings and Play from the Perspective of Analytical Psychology,' first published in the Netherlands in 2004 and subsequently translated into English (2007), Hebrew (2009), and Complex Chinese (2011). The book's international reach reflects the universal applicability of her Jungian approach to understanding children's symbolic expression.
