Jean Parkinson is a Registered Art Psychotherapist and Teaching Member of the International Society for Sandplay Therapy, practicing in Auckland, New Zealand. She holds a Bachelor of Social Science, diplomas in teaching and STN, and is registered with ANZACATA (Australian, New Zealand and Asian Creative Arts Therapies Association).

Parkinson works with children, families, and adults in her private practice, integrating art psychotherapy and sandplay therapy. She has provided training and presentations internationally, including to the Northern California Regional Sandplay Society.

Her combined expertise in art therapy and sandplay — both creative, symbolic modalities — offers a distinctive approach to accessing the unconscious through non-verbal expression.
