Toni Herbine-Blank, MS, RN, C-SP, has been in private psychotherapy practice since 1996, specializing in the treatment of couples and individuals. She is a Senior Lead Trainer for the IFS Institute and developer of the Intimacy from the Inside Out (IFIO) curriculum for couples therapists. In 2009, after designing a training for IFS therapists to apply the model to couples therapy, she offered the first IFIO Training Program in Boston, Massachusetts. She co-designed the IFS Level 1 and Level 2 curricula and co-authored the IFS Couple Therapy Skills Manual with Martha Sweezy. She also co-authored the book Intimacy from the Inside Out: Courage and Compassion in Couple Therapy. She lives in Hesperus/Durango, Colorado with her husband Jordan. Her approach integrates psychodynamic theory, systems thinking, and neuroscience with IFS, emphasizing self-compassion, internal attachment repair, and staying connected through relational rupture.
