Depth orientation

As the creator of IFS, Richard Schwartz developed a model that parallels many depth psychology principles: a multiplicity of mind, the existence of an archetypal Self, the concept of exiled parts carrying burdens from the past, and the healing power of witnessing and unburdening -- themes resonant with Jungian and psychoanalytic traditions.
