Tamra Hughes is a Licensed Professional Counselor, EMDRIA Certified Therapist, EMDRIA Approved Consultant, and EMDRIA Approved Trainer based in the Denver metropolitan area. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Greenwood Counseling Center and the Founder of EMDR Center of the Rockies, which she established in 2013. Hughes has been in clinical practice since 2003, specializing in trauma, grief, traumatic grief, anxiety, stress, and volatile or abusive relationships. She serves as Affiliate Faculty at Regis University in their Counseling Master's program, where she has taught graduate-level courses on trauma, crisis intervention, human development, and clinician self-care. Her leadership within EMDRIA has been extensive, including service on their Board of Directors, chairing the Standards and Training Committee, and co-authoring the EMDRIA Virtual EMDR Therapy Guidelines. Hughes's commitment to advancing the field of EMDR is reflected in her dual role as clinician and educator, training and consulting with therapists across the country while maintaining active clinical practice at offices in Centennial, Denver, and Lakewood, Colorado.
