Carol Miles is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, EMDRIA Certified Therapist, EMDRIA Approved Consultant, and EMDRIA Approved Basic Trainer with over thirty years of clinical experience. She graduated from the LSU School of Social Work with her Bachelor of Science in 1978 and Master of Social Work in 1981. Miles served as President of the EMDRIA Board from 2019 to 2020 and received the 2023 EMDRIA Outstanding Contribution Award, recognizing her sustained impact on the field of EMDR therapy. She is the founder of Three Rivers Training Center in Covington, Louisiana, which employs five EMDRIA-approved trainers and provides EMDRIA-approved training and consultation for clinicians across the Southeast. For twenty years, Miles served as an adjunct professor at the Tulane School of Social Work, training the next generation of clinical social workers. She co-founded the EMDR Regional Meetings in Southeast Louisiana and maintains a private practice specializing in intensive EMDR sessions for adults, with particular expertise in trauma and eating disorders. She offers both in-person and virtual EMDR intensive sessions.
