Sharon McLendon is the Founder and Executive Director of Therapy Center of Houston, a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S) with a deep commitment to creating an atmosphere of trust and safety where clients can openly explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors without judgment. She brings a warm and empathetic style to her work, actively engaging in the therapeutic process and guiding clients through transformative experiential therapies while equipping them with tools to maintain lasting treatment gains.

Sharon is one of the few Houston therapists holding both IFS Certification and Somatic IFS Level 2 training alongside EMDR — a triple integration of parts work, body-based processing, and bilateral stimulation. She is also an IFS Clinical Consultant approved for certification, meaning she supervises other clinicians seeking IFS certification. Her practice focuses primarily on individual and couples therapy, with specialties including interpersonal relational issues, eating disorders, addiction recovery, depression, anxiety, and stress reduction.

In addition to her clinical credentials, Sharon is a Registered 200-Hour Yoga Instructor, reflecting her holistic, body-inclusive approach to healing. She has extensive training in Psychodynamic therapy and Mindfulness-based therapies, and her integrative approach draws from multiple evidence-based modalities to meet each client's unique needs.
