Laurence S. Heller is Faculty of Somatic Experiencing® International, based in Los Angeles, CA, United States. SE is a body-oriented approach to trauma resolution developed by Peter Levine, working with autonomic nervous-system regulation, sensation, and the somatic completion of thwarted survival responses. Dr. Heller holds a PhD in psychology and has over 30 years experience as a teacher and clinician in the field of Somatic Psychotherapy. He co-founded the Gestalt Institute of Denver and later the Rocky Mountain Psychotherapy Institute where he trained hundreds of mental health professionals.
