A one-year group therapy training program from The Psychotherapy Institute in Berkeley, offering in-depth study of theory and practice of group therapy facilitation. The program combines psychodynamic and group-as-a-whole orientations through weekly process learning groups, individual consultation, and monthly seminars with senior group therapists. Fully accessible via Zoom. The 2025-2026 cohort began October 2025; the next training cohort begins October 2026. TPI's program weaves psychodynamic and group-as-a-whole orientations together in an immersion experience. The first cohort operates within a Modern Analytic Group Therapy framework influenced by critical psychology and somatic orientations; the second cohort brings multiple modalities of psychodynamic thinking to the modern analytic framework.
