Freddie Taborda is a Jungian Analyst and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over thirty-five years of clinical experience, practicing from offices in downtown and north side Chicago. He holds a Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University, where his 2010 dissertation Spirits and Images in Dreams explored the ontological and symbolic reality of deceased figures appearing in dreams. He received his Diplomate in Analytical Psychology from the C.G. Jung Institute of Chicago in 2017, following earlier degrees including a B.A. in Economics from Externado University in Colombia, an M.A. in Economics from Northeastern University, and an M.A. in Psychology from John F. Taborda is a bilingual clinician fluent in English and Spanish, and his clinical identity is shaped by a deep engagement with the intersection of indigenous cosmologies, Jungian thought, and the lived experience of cultural dislocation. His scholarly contributions include presentations at the C.G. Jung Institute of Chicago on topics such as archetypal teachings from the Wayuu aborigines of Colombia, Jungian perspectives on aboriginal necropolises, and the continuum between the Kogi concept of Aluna and analytical psychology. He brings particular sensitivity to issues of immigration, acculturation, intergenerational trauma, and systemic oppression.

His practice serves individuals, couples, families, children, adolescents, and groups, employing modalities including depth therapy, psychoanalytic therapy, sand tray therapy, and culturally sensitive approaches. He accepts Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and United Healthcare insurance, with session rates ranging from $100 to $200.
