Dr. Lorraine Freedle is a clinical neuropsychologist and sandplay therapy teacher who practices at the crossroads of depth psychology and neuroscience. She has been studying and practicing sandplay since 1989 and is a Certified Teaching Member of both Sandplay Therapists of America and the International Society for Sandplay Therapy.
Dr. Freedle is the President-elect of ISST and a past President of STA. She serves on the faculties of Southwestern College in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and the Trauma Research Foundation. Her research explores the neuropsychological mechanisms underlying sandplay therapy's effectiveness, particularly in the treatment of trauma.
She is the author of 'Foundations of Jungian Sandplay Therapy: Core Skills for Clinical Practice' and 'Recovering Sacred Body: Sandplay Therapy in the Treatment of Sexual Trauma,' both of which bridge clinical neuroscience and depth psychological approaches to healing.
