Judy Zappacosta is a past president of Sandplay Therapists of America and past board member of the International Society for Sandplay Therapy. She trained directly with Dora Kalff, the founder of sandplay therapy, and with Marion Woodman. She uses integrative dream work, sandplay, and body awareness in individual psychotherapy and teaching, and has published and taught both nationally and internationally.

Her theoretical work is grounded in Jungian child studies and developmental psychology. She consults and supervises therapists using sandplay, and offers sandplay for individuals seeking their own personal process.
