Ellen Searle LeBel is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist, and Teaching Member of both Sandplay Therapists of America and the International Society for Sandplay Therapy. She practices in Arcata, California, under the practice name Temenos Therapy.
LeBel incorporates sandplay, movement, dream work, and art to express and integrate unconscious themes, emotions, and complexes. Her integration of somatic and expressive modalities with Jungian sandplay represents a distinctively embodied approach to depth psychological work.
She currently serves as President of the Northern California Regional Sandplay Society and as program manager for Continuing Education. She teaches, consults, and mentors sandplay therapists, has written for the Journal of Sandplay Therapy, and provides both in-person and online consultation.
