ICEERS is a Barcelona-based non-profit founded in 2009 that addresses the social, legal, cultural, and health dimensions of traditional plant medicines including ayahuasca and iboga. IMPORTANT: ICEERS does not offer ayahuasca sessions or recommend specific centers. Instead, they provide the educational and research infrastructure for safe practice: a risk reduction course for ayahuasca facilitators, integration training for mental health professionals, a Medical Interactions Service for drug-plant interaction inquiries, legal support through the Ayahuasca Defense Fund, and a crisis Support Center that has served over 1,200 people. With UN ECOSOC consultative status and 100+ published research articles, ICEERS is the field's leading authority on evidence-based ayahuasca safety. They collaborate with the Beckley Foundation and Temple of the Way of Light on clinical research.
