Aya Healing Retreats operates from El Encanto De Chullachaqui outside Iquitos, Peru, offering 11-day ayahuasca retreats that combine traditional Shipibo ceremony with trauma-informed therapeutic facilitation. Each ceremony is accompanied by a curandero or curandera of the Shipibo tradition, two English-speaking facilitators, and one ceremonial assistant. The center conducts in-depth screening for physical, psychological, and spiritual wellbeing, with one-on-one consultations and individualized programming. An after-ceremony sitter is available until 4am following all ceremonies. Post-retreat support includes a Skype session with a qualified Somatic Experiencing therapist one month following the retreat. Specialized Leadership Ayahuasca Retreats are offered periodically, integrating executive development with plant medicine work.

Focus areas

Depth orientation

Aya Healing Retreats is distinguished by its explicit integration of Somatic Experiencing with traditional Shipibo ayahuasca healing — they ran the first-ever Healing Trauma Retreat combining SE and plant medicine in 2019. Their integration framework (the Franc Pearl Integration Framework) incorporates shadow work, parts work, somatic processing, energy healing, and dream interpretation, making this one of the most depth-psychologically sophisticated plant medicine programs operating today.
