Simon Spire is a depth-oriented, contemplative, and somatic psychotherapist licensed in North Carolina. He holds a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from UNC-Chapel Hill and a Master's in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University. He is a Certified Focusing-Oriented Therapist and completed a Soulcraft Immersion and Vision Fast with Bill Plotkin through Animas Valley Institute. His approach draws on attachment-based, relational, and psychodynamic orientations. He is also a certified Purpose Guide through Purpose Guides Institute, an eco-depth psychology and wilderness-quest-based program, and has led eco-depth Emergent Quest programs. He has studied extensively with Thomas Hübl, including the two-year Timeless Wisdom Training. He practices dream work and dream analysis with clients and furthered his Jungian studies through regular clinical consultation with a Jungian psychologist. He also specializes in Air Hunger, Breathing Pattern Disorder, and breathing-related distress, and is the founder of the Air Hunger Help Community.
