Melissa Ford is an experienced psychologist with over 15 years of clinical experience working with clients presenting with a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, anger difficulties, grief, PTSD, CPTSD, self-esteem issues, relationship issues, personality vulnerabilities, self-harm, and difficulties making decisions. She is also proficient in working with parents experiencing challenges in being able to be with their children in a way that feels clear, compassionate, courageous and in balance.

Melissa is a warm and down-to-earth practitioner with a good sense of humour. She started her career working predominantly with children, teens and families from an attachment lens. Over time, as she moved into working predominantly with adults and parents, Melissa discovered IFS, EMDR and Brainspotting, and how by creating a secure attachment with oneself and one's own inner child, clients can heal wounds from the past, experience more internal space and a sense of greater self-leadership.

One of very few practitioners in Australia holding both EMDRAA Consultant and IFS Clinical Consultant status, Melissa is a dual-lineage depth clinician. She is also a Certified Brainspotting Practitioner and is trained in somatic therapies including Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT Tapping), Havening, the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), and the Rest and Restore Protocol (RRP). Based on the Sunshine Coast (Queensland), she provides telehealth across Australia and supervises provisional psychologists. Outside of work, Melissa enjoys playing cards, karaoke and camping with her husband and two children.
