Amber Davies is a Registered Psychotherapist with the Psychotherapists Board of Aotearoa New Zealand and an Accredited EMDR Therapist, Case Consultant, and Facilitator with EMDR New Zealand. She holds a Master of Health Science in Psychotherapy with Honours and is also an Accredited PsychoSomatic Integration Therapist. Over the past decade, her clinical work has increasingly centered on EMDR therapy as her primary modality, with a particular focus on the safe and effective processing of trauma, adverse life events, and dissociation. Davies is additionally trained in Group Traumatic Episode Protocol, enabling her to facilitate group trauma processing in structured therapeutic settings. Her clinical orientation integrates psychodynamic therapy with EMDR and other evidence-based approaches, and she brings a warm, creative, and down-to-earth presence to her practice. She works with individuals from age four through adulthood, though her primary focus is adult psychotherapy. Davies offers both in-person sessions at her Morningside, Auckland office and online therapy, with some reduced-fee places available for those in financial need.
