Marta Tibaldi is a psychologist, psychotherapist, and Jungian analyst of international standing, based in Rome. She holds teaching and supervisory functions (didatta) within both AIPA (Associazione Italiana di Psicologia Analitica) and the International Association for Analytical Psychology, positions she has occupied since 2008. She is an accredited Training Supervisor at the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich, an honorary member of the Taiwan Society of Analytical Psychology (TSAP), and serves as liaison person for the Hong Kong Institute for Analytical Psychology (HKIAP).
Tibaldi specialized in analytical psychology in 1990 and became an ordinary member of both AIPA and IAAP. Over the following decades, she established herself as one of Italy's most prominent Jungian voices, lecturing extensively at national and international conferences and publishing widely on active imagination, Active Deep Writing, masculine-feminine psychology, complex trauma treatment, and oncological psychology. Her books include works on the practice of active imagination, the psychology of cancer, pandemic transformation, and transcultural identities within the Jungian tradition, published through Italian houses including Castelvecchi Editore.
Her clinical and scholarly work is distinguished by a commitment to extending Jungian methods into transcultural contexts, having led groups on active imagination, fairy tales, and deep active writing across cultural boundaries. As a training analyst and supervisor with both Italian and international institutional affiliations, Tibaldi occupies a central position in the global network of analytical psychology and represents a bridge between the Italian and Asian Jungian communities.
