Joel Kroeker is a Jungian psychoanalyst and music-centered psychotherapist in private practice in Victoria, British Columbia. He holds a post-graduate Diploma in Analytical Psychology from the C.G. Jung Institute in Zürich, a Master of Music Therapy (MMT) from Wilfrid Laurier University, and a Master of Arts in Ethnomusicology from the University of Alberta. He is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and a member of the IAAP through the Western Canadian Association of Jungian Analysts.

Before his career in psychotherapy, Kroeker spent ten years traveling the world as an international recording artist, releasing albums on Universal/True North Records. This immersion in music and performance deeply informs his therapeutic approach, which integrates music therapy and depth psychology in distinctive ways. Through a soulful depth approach, he works with individuals, families, and groups to explore the underlying meaning of concerns including anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, loss of meaning, spiritual questions, and addictions.

Kroeker's clinical modalities span Jungian therapy, psychoanalytic psychotherapy, creative expressive arts, Internal Family Systems, grief counseling, Gottman Method couples therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. He accepts ICBC and FNHA insurance. He has been featured on the Speaking of Jung podcast (Episode 63), discussing his integration of music and analytical psychology. He works with both adults and children and is currently accepting new clients.
