Andreas Michel is a psychologist, psychotherapist, and Jungian analyst practicing in Küsnacht, near Zürich, Switzerland. He holds a doctorate in political science and studied psychology and psychopathology at the University of Zürich, having transitioned into analytical psychology after an earlier career in international finance specializing in political risk analysis and consulting. His path into the profession carries a biographical dimension: he grew up with a father who was an active analyst at the Jung Institute and who managed its picture archives, immersing Michel in the Jungian milieu from an early age.

Michel is a teaching analyst, supervisor, and lecturer at the C.G. Jung Institute Zürich, where he also serves on the board of directors. He is a member of the Association of Graduate Analytical Psychologists (AGAP) and the International Association for Analytical Psychology. He chaired the Program Committee for the XXIII International Congress of Analytical Psychology held in Zürich in August 2025, a role reflecting his prominence within the international Jungian community.

In his private practice, Michel works with adults and couples, offering therapy, counseling, analysis, crisis intervention, coaching, and supervision. His approach integrates the depth-psychological tradition of analytical psychology with an understanding of institutional and organizational dynamics informed by his prior career in the financial sector. Treatment is covered by Swiss insurance providers. He practices in German and English.
