Deborah Chan is a clinical psychologist and Jungian analyst practicing on Hong Kong Island. She holds a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with a Marriage and Family Therapy specialisation from the United States, as well as a Master of Business Administration. She completed her Jungian analytic training at the C.G. Jung Institut Zurich in Switzerland, one of the foundational training institutes in analytical psychology worldwide.
Chan is a member of both the Hong Kong Institute of Analytical Psychology and the International Association for Analytical Psychology. Her clinical work encompasses psychological assessment and psychotherapy with children, adolescents, and adults. She brings a depth psychological orientation to her practice, working with unconscious behavioural patterns, psychological complexes, and dreams as pathways toward greater self-understanding.
Her therapeutic approach integrates Jungian analytical methods with additional modalities including Voice Dialogue facilitation, which explores the psychology of selves and sub-personalities, and Reiki energy healing. This combination of Western depth psychology and complementary healing practices reflects a distinctive integrative orientation suited to the multicultural context of Hong Kong.
