About
Megan Holm is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), and certified NARM™ Therapist. She is one of very few practitioners in the world who holds both SEP and NARM Master certifications while simultaneously completing formal Jungian analyst training as a Candidate in Training at the International School for Analytical Psychology (ISAP) in Zurich, Switzerland. Since 2010, she has worked with adults, adolescents, families, and couples navigating relationship challenges, depression and anxiety, grief and loss, and questions around gender and sexuality. She previously served as a teaching assistant with the NARM Training Institute.
Megan is interested in transformative work, supporting each person to tap into their life energy for more connection and aliveness. This work is often spurred by some kind of crisis — be that a loss, relationship rupture or challenge, physical health problems, a spiritual crossroads, or symptoms that are not able to be controlled or managed. She works from an understanding that there are developmental life themes and resources essential to our capacity for self-regulation and an ability to be present.
Megan's approach utilizes somatic mindfulness — a practice to observe cognitive, emotional, and physiological patterns — and inquiry to explore what patterns get in the way of being present to ourselves and others. She supports clients in using a dual awareness anchored in the present moment to explore patterns that began in the past, without making the past more important than the present. In addition to her somatic and trauma-focused training, she also has training in attachment theory, craniosacral therapy, and spiritual healing work.
Megan provides sessions for individuals and couples, as well as supervision and consultation for mental health practitioners.
Clinical Orientation
Actively training as a Jungian analyst at ISAP Zurich while holding SEP and NARM Master certifications. She explicitly integrates somatic mindfulness with Jungian depth psychology, seeking to support people toward 'a greater sense of aliveness and self-realization through bringing more of themselves to consciousness.'
