Spring: A Journal of Archetype and Culture was founded in 1941 by the Analytical Psychology Club of New York and is the oldest standing Jungian journal in the world. It became closely associated with archetypal psychology under the long editorship of James Hillman in the 1970s. The journal is now published twice a year from New Orleans by Nancy Cater of Spring Journal Inc., which also operates a small books imprint.
