Dr. Friederike Meckel Fischer is a German-trained medical doctor who specialized in industrial medicine and psychotherapy. She further trained in the USA as a Holotropic Breathwork facilitator with Dr. Stanislav Grof. Her career has involved multiple techniques in psychotherapy including Holotropic Breathwork, hypnotherapy, and family constellation work. She opened her own private psychedelic therapy practice in Zurich in 1997, hosting weekend group therapy sessions with psychedelics for clients who had not responded to conventional talking therapy. In 2009 she was arrested when an ex-client informed police of her psycholytic work with LSD and MDMA. She authored 'Therapy with Substance: Psycholytic Psychotherapy in the Twenty-First Century' (2015). Being retired now, she still offers some private psychological counselling in Zurich. She is a member of EMR and ASCA professional associations.
