Evan Sola, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in Oakland, California, whose clinical work bridges psychoanalytic psychotherapy and psychedelic medicine. He earned his doctorate from the California Institute of Integral Studies and completed advanced training through the MAPS MDMA Therapy Training Program, where he now serves as a lead adherence rater and trainer. Dr. Sola has been a researcher in FDA clinical trials investigating MDMA-assisted psychotherapy for PTSD at both UCSF and the Polaris Insight Center, contributing to some of the most significant psychedelic research of the past decade. He is a co-author of the MAPS MDMA treatment manual and has served as a therapist in trials addressing PTSD and anxiety associated with life-threatening illness. In private practice, Dr. Sola provides intensive depth psychotherapy facilitated by ketamine for treatment-resistant depression, suicidal rumination, bipolar disorder, PTSD, addictions, chronic pain, and anxiety. He is also a provider of ketamine-assisted psychotherapy at Sage Integrative Health in Berkeley. His scholarly interests center on creating a rigorous bridge between psychedelic science and psychoanalytic tradition, and he serves on the faculty at the UC Berkeley Center for the Science of Psychedelics.
