Joe Loizzo is a Harvard-trained psychiatrist and Columbia-trained Buddhist scholar with over forty years of experience integrating contemplative practices with clinical healing. He holds an MD from Harvard Medical School and a PhD in Buddhist Studies from Columbia University. He is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College and founder of the Nalanda Institute for Contemplative Science. He maintains a private consultation practice in Manhattan working with health professionals, educators, business leaders, and caregivers.
