The Society of Analytical Psychology was incorporated in London in 1945 with Carl Jung as its first Honorary President. Its founders included Gerhard and Hella Adler, Michael and Frieda Fordham, C.M. Barker, Philip Metman, Robert Moody, and Lotte Paulsen. The SAP runs adult and child analytic trainings, sees patients through its consultation service, and publishes the Journal of Analytical Psychology, founded in 1955 under Michael Fordham's editorship. Its building at 1 Daleham Gardens in north London has housed the society for decades.
