Stephanie Brashear

Stephanie Brashear, LMHC, LPCC-S, is an EMDRIA-certified EMDR therapist and EMDRIA-approved consultant-in-training who operates Root and Grow, a trauma-focused psychotherapy practice in Providence, Rhode Island. She holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Columbia International University and specializes in working with individuals recovering from abusive relationships, religious trauma, and complex relational wounds. Brashear is also trained in Internal Family Systems therapy at Level 1 and brings an affirming, inclusive approach that centers the experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals, Gen Z and millennial clients, and those navigating the aftermath of spiritually abusive or high-control religious environments. Her therapeutic framework integrates EMDR with somatic awareness and parts-based work, drawing on evidence-based modalities that move beyond traditional talk therapy to facilitate deep reprocessing of traumatic material.
