About
Ross Cohen, MA, LPC, is a Portland, Oregon-based therapist with over 20 years of experience specializing in EMDR therapy, trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. Drawing on a transpersonal-depth foundation from CIIS, he brings a remarkable breadth of modalities to his work, including IFS, Gestalt, Voice Dialogue, Focusing, Coherence Therapy, DNMS, and Brainspotting. He is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant and EMDR Certified Therapist, and also serves as an EMDR Training Facilitator.
In his practice, Ross works with clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma and abuse, and relationship problems. He believes that when these issues persist despite prior efforts, unresolved trauma is often at the root—including not only major life-threatening events but also attachment wounds, childhood experiences, and any situation that left a person feeling helpless, powerless, or overwhelmed.
Ross offers in-person therapy and consultation at his NE Portland office at 1832 NE Broadway St., Portland, OR 97232, as well as telehealth services for clients throughout Oregon. He also provides virtual EMDR consultation via Zoom, serving clinicians worldwide. He serves the broader Portland metro area, including Beaverton, Hillsboro, Lake Oswego, Tigard, West Linn, Milwaukie, Oregon City, Tualatin, Gresham, and Vancouver, WA.
