Melanie Shapiro

Melanie Shapiro, LICSW, is an EMDRIA-certified EMDR therapist and EMDRIA-approved consultant practicing in Washington, DC. She holds a Master of Social Work degree from the Smith College School for Social Work and an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan. Her clinical career has spanned prominent institutional settings, including the Psychiatric Institute of Washington, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, N Street Village, and The Viva Center, where she developed extensive expertise in the treatment of anxiety, depression, complex trauma, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
