Kara Guindin

Kara Guindin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified EMDR Therapist, and Perinatal Mental Health Specialist who founded Wise Roots Therapy in Nashville, Tennessee. She earned her Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis in 2013 and has since practiced across a range of community health and mental health settings, including Crider Health Center, Centerstone, Nashville Cares, and the Sexual Assault Center. Guindin's clinical practice integrates EMDR with somatic approaches to address trauma, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, birth trauma, and attachment-related difficulties. She offers standard 50-minute sessions, extended 80-minute sessions, and EMDR intensive formats, providing flexibility for clients seeking accelerated processing. As an EMDRIA Approved Consultant in Training, she also provides consultation for therapists pursuing EMDR certification.
