Elaine R. Espada

Dr. Elaine R. Espada, PsyD, is a Licensed Psychologist and Executive Director of Beacon Therapy Group, a specialized trauma therapy practice located in Brookline, MA. She founded both Beacon Therapy Group (a clinical practice) and the Integrated Trauma Training Institute (a nonprofit training organization), reflecting her deep commitment to advancing trauma-informed care at both the clinical and educational levels.

Beacon Therapy Group is a POC female-founded practice that specializes in complex trauma and dissociation — the cases other therapists refer out. The practice is grounded in a social-justice-focused, intersectional, anti-oppression framework, and is committed to providing a safe, affirming, and inclusive space for individuals from all backgrounds and identities. Dr. Espada leads a diverse team of 16 licensed clinicians, all of whom receive EMDRIA-level supervision.

Dr. Espada's clinical training includes work at Bessel van der Kolk's Trauma Center, and she integrates a broad range of evidence-based modalities including EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, AEDP, ego state therapy, hypnosis, polyvagal theory, and yoga.
