Crystal Arber

Crystal Arber is a Registered Social Worker and Registered Clinical Counsellor with over twenty-five years of experience in the mental health field. She holds a Master of Social Work from the University of British Columbia and is an EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist, Approved Consultant, and EMDR Educator. Arber has served as EMDR Regional Coordinator for Vancouver and brings particular expertise in the treatment of post-traumatic stress among first responders and military veterans. She previously worked at the BC Operational Stress Injury Clinic, a Veterans Affairs facility, where she developed an intensive EMDR pilot program for treating PTSD in veterans and emergency services personnel. In 2022, Arber organized the Vancouver Trauma Recovery Network through the EMDR Humanitarian Assistance Program, leading a team of twelve therapists and two translators in delivering free EMDR workshops to persons displaced by conflict. Her clinical focus includes workplace trauma, childhood trauma, and recovery from narcissistic abuse. She offers both in-person sessions in Vancouver and telehealth across British Columbia.
