Cécile Acket

Cécile Acket is a psychologist and psychoanalyst who has been in clinical practice since 1994, bringing over three decades of experience to her work in the sixteenth arrondissement of Paris. Trained at Université Paris XIII and the Washington Square Institute in New York, she integrates psychoanalytic, cognitive-behavioral, and EMDR approaches within a sophisticated clinical framework. Ms. Acket is a member of the Association EMDR France, the French Association of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy, the French Federation for Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis, and the National Association for the Advancement of Psychoanalysis in New York. Her volunteer work with the American Red Cross following the September 11 attacks and her clinical contributions after the November 2015 Paris attacks reflect a deep commitment to trauma-informed care in the wake of collective crisis. She provides individual therapy and couples therapy in both French and English, drawing on her extensive bicultural clinical training to serve a diverse clientele.
