About
Catherine Moon, LCSW, ACS is the founder and director of East Atlanta Counseling (EAC), a private group mental health practice established in 2018 in Decatur and the greater Atlanta area. The practice has grown into a beacon of hope and healing, offering individual, couple, family, and group therapy services to clients ages 4 and up across locations in Oakhurst/Decatur, North Druid Hills, and Midtown, Atlanta, GA.
Catherine's clinical approach is rooted in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and expanded through the integration of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Internal Family Systems (IFS), ego state therapy, and somatic-attachment modalities. Her specialization in complex trauma, dissociative disorders, Borderline Personality Disorder, and relational trauma informs the therapeutic culture she has built at EAC. She holds credentials as an LCSW, ACS, and CCTP, and is licensed in both Georgia and Florida.
East Atlanta Counseling operates as a private pay only practice and offers a wide range of therapeutic modalities including DBT, EMDR, Radically Open DBT (RO DBT), Somatic Experiencing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), IFS, and Imago Relationship Therapy. Virtual services are also available in addition to in-person sessions across multiple Atlanta-area locations.
