About

Brittany (Britt) Fellwock, LPC-S (she/her) is the Owner and Clinical Director of EMDR Therapy Austin. Her journey to becoming a therapist began in the 5th grade, shaped by a childhood in which she often felt alone and divided between two worlds — simultaneously too much and not enough. Growing up as the only girl among 7 children in her household, navigating a bicultural Mexican-American identity, and feeling disconnected from the strong Christian roots of her community, she developed the belief that she needed to earn love and that being her true Self would lead to rejection. Perfectionism became her survival strategy.

Brittany graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2011 with a near-perfect GPA, earning a research assistant position in one of the top Psychology labs on campus and performing on the dance team. She went on to earn a Master's in Counseling from St. Edward's University with a perfect 4.0 GPA, stacking professional trauma trainings and landing a highly sought-after internship along the way.

Despite her outward achievements, Brittany struggled for years with chronic bodily pain, gastrointestinal issues, chronic fatigue, and difficult relationship dynamics — symptoms dismissed by countless doctors. A near-death experience became a turning point that stripped away the veil of perfectionism and set her on a deeper path of healing. She built her practice around integrating EMDR with the most sophisticated relational-somatic modalities, including NARM, AEDP, SE, and IFS, to help adults heal complex and developmental trauma, attachment wounds, perfectionism, and relational patterns.

Clinical Orientation

Integrates EMDR with NARM (developmental trauma), AEDP (experiential-dynamic), Somatic Experiencing (nervous system regulation), and IFS parts work. Fundamentally psychodynamic insight into relationship patterns as early adaptations.
