Dr. Ursula Wirtz has maintained a private practice since 1982 in Zurich, where she works as a psychotherapist and supervisor with individuals and teams, with a primary focus in psychotraumatology. She is a lecturer, training analyst, and supervisor at the International School for Analytical Psychology Zurich (ISAP), and has been instrumental in training Jungian analysts in Eastern Europe, China, and Taiwan.

She studied clinical and anthropological psychology and psychopathology at the University of Zurich (1978–1984), earning her Lic. phil., and completed her diploma in analytical psychotherapy at the C.G. Jung Institute Zurich in 1982. She holds a Dr. phil. from the University of Munich (1971) and conducted post-doctoral studies in the USA (1972–1973). Additional training includes integrative therapy (FPI), psychotraumatology, and EMDR training in New York.

Dr. Wirtz is internationally active in teaching and training, and researches and publishes on the themes of sexual violence, trauma, ethics, and the intersection of psychotherapy and spirituality. Her book 'Trauma and Beyond' has been translated into Russian, Polish, Czech, and Chinese. She has served as a guest lecturer at C.G. Jung Institutes in Germany, the USA, Canada, and Denmark, at Saint Vincent College (USA), and has presented at the Einsiedeln Conference on Jung and Spirituality in both Einsiedeln and New Mexico.

Her recent international engagements include seminars and lectures in Riga, Krakow, Belarus, and Ukraine, as well as webinars for Jungian groups, reflecting her ongoing commitment to trauma-informed depth psychology across cultural contexts.
