Dr. Ulrike Gogela is a psychotherapist specializing in Analytical Psychology after C.G. Jung, practicing in Vienna's third district. Born in 1948, her professional journey is unusually multifaceted: she initially trained as a veterinarian, earning her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1979 from the Universities of Vienna and Bern, and subsequently pursued studies in Human Medicine at the Universities of Vienna and Graz from 1979 to 1981. This scientific background informs her holistic understanding of the human organism and psyche.
Her training in analytical psychology was conducted through the Research and Training Center for Depth Psychology according to C.G. Jung and Marie-Louise von Franz in Zurich, as well as through the Salzburg Society for Depth Psychology — C.G. Jung Institute. She also undertook intensive self-experience in existential psychology. From 2002 to 2003, she participated in a research project on the prevention of postpartum depression at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Donauspital in Vienna, providing psychotherapeutic support to pregnant women.
Gogela is a member of the ÖBVP (Austrian Federal Association for Psychotherapy) and the IAAP. Her clinical practice focuses on dream analysis, life transitions, depression, anxiety, psychosomatic complaints, and eating disorders. She approaches the unconscious through the interpretation of dreams, which she describes as translating the messages of dreams into everyday language for healing purposes. Her session rate is 100 euros per hour, with partial reimbursement available through Austrian health insurance providers.
