Sue Barrett is a Jungian analyst and psychoanalytic psychotherapist practicing in Banstead, Surrey, England. She trained at the Society of Analytical Psychology (SAP) in London, completing the Foundations of Analytical Psychology course and a two-year Infant Observation course. She also holds a BACP-accredited Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling and additional certifications in bereavement counseling and time-limited therapeutic work. She is a member of the Society of Analytical Psychology (IAAP), the Guild of Psychotherapists (UKCP registered), and is accredited with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and the BACP.

Barrett has nearly twenty-five years of clinical experience, having begun her training in counseling and psychotherapy in 1995. Before establishing her private practice, she worked at a local counseling center and an independent mental health hospital, conducting both individual and group therapy. Her practice, A Space For You, offers both short-term and long-term individual psychotherapy, available face-to-face and online.

Her clinical work addresses a range of psychological concerns including trauma, anxiety, depression, bereavement, relationship difficulties, and experiences of abuse. She serves as a Training Analyst for WPF Therapy and offers clinical supervision. She is currently developing a supervision course with a planned launch in 2026. Barrett works with clients from diverse backgrounds and provides appointments in the early morning, evening, and weekend hours to accommodate varied schedules.
