Ruth Williams is a Jungian psychoanalyst and psychotherapist practicing both online and from her consulting room in London E14, near Canary Wharf. She holds a Master of Arts in Jungian and Post-Jungian Studies and has been in clinical practice for over twenty-five years, working with adults and couples as a psychotherapist and analyst, as well as serving as a supervisor and consultant to fellow professionals.

Williams is a professional member of the Association of Jungian Analysts in London, accredited by the British Psychoanalytic Council, and registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy. She teaches on a number of analytic and psychotherapeutic trainings and serves as a Training Therapist, Training Analyst, and Supervisor for several UKCP and BPC organizations. She holds the positions of Honorary Lecturer in the Department of Psychosocial and Psychoanalytic Studies at the University of Essex and Guest Professor at the Oriental Academy for Analytical Psychology in Guangzhou, China. She served as Chair of the Confederation for Analytical Psychology from 2011 to 2017 and again from 2022 to 2024.

Williams is the author of C. G. Jung: The Basics (Routledge, 2019) and Exploring Spirituality from a Post-Jungian Perspective: Clinical and Personal Reflections (Routledge, 2023), the latter of which won the International Association for Jungian Studies (IAJS) Book Award for Best Clinical Book in 2024. Her scholarly work explores the intersection of Jungian analysis, spirituality, and clinical practice, informed by decades of psychoanalytic inquiry.
