Pamela A. Behnen is a certified Jungian analyst and licensed professional counselor practicing in the Tower Grove South neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri. She holds an MA in English Renaissance Literature with a focus on Shakespeare, an MA in Psychology, and an MAPC (Master of Arts in Professional Counseling). She received her Certificate and Diplomate in Analytical Psychology from the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts in 2015.
Behnen's path to analytical psychology was richly varied. Before entering the field, she worked as a registered nurse, a freelance writer, and an instructor of writing and literature at the college level. She brings over twenty years of experience in dream work, mindfulness, and the creative process to her clinical practice.
Behnen serves as a Senior Training Analyst in the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts and is a founding member of the Heartland Association of Jungian Analysts. Her teaching and research interests include the intersection of literature and analytical psychology, social justice and analytical psychology, the creative instinct, and the feminine hero's journey.
