Michael J. Lee, PsyD, is a licensed psychologist based in Charlotte, North Carolina. His practice is rooted in Jungian, psychoanalytic and existential traditions, with sustained attention to dreams, recurring emotional and relational patterns, imagination and questions of meaning. He works with adults and couples from his SouthPark-area office and online across North Carolina and other PSYPACT-participating jurisdictions.
Dr. Lee is a candidate at the C.G. Jung Institute of New England. He earned a BA in Cinematic Arts from the University of Southern California, an MA in Psychology from Pepperdine University and a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University, where his program emphasized Couple and Family Psychology and included a concentration in Consulting Psychology. His depth-oriented work remains in conversation with contemporary behavioral, cognitive and affective science, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy when a more structured framework is useful.
His approach is thoughtful and collaborative. Rather than reducing a concern to symptoms alone, he attends to the history, conflicts and patterns through which it has taken shape, helping clients bring what has been automatic into awareness and translate insight into durable change.
