Melanie Rein is a Jungian analyst, psychotherapist, and supervisor practicing in Cambridge for over fifteen years. She holds a PhD focusing on the feminine archetype in business and originally trained as a psychiatric social worker specializing in children and families. Following her doctoral research, she directed multiple British Government and European Union collaborative research projects throughout Central and Eastern Europe, and participated in initiatives in South Africa and Zambia, bringing an international and cross-cultural perspective to her analytic practice.
Dr. Rein trained with the Guild of Analytical Psychologists in London and is a senior training member of both the Guild and the Independent Group of Analytical Psychologists (IGAP). She currently serves as Chair of Trustees of the Guild of Analytical Psychologists and is a founder member and trustee of Women's Heartbeat, a charity established to raise awareness of heart conditions in women. Her clinical work centers on individuals and couples, drawing on dreamwork, image, and the exploration of unconscious processes.
Her published scholarship includes 'The Hummingbird: An Augury from the Gods' in the Jung Journal (2024), and she maintains an active research profile with work spanning health, disability, and Jungian analytical perspectives. She is registered with the UKCP and the International Association for Analytical Psychology.
