Karin Fleischer is a clinical psychologist, Jungian analyst, and registered dance movement therapist based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is certified by the International Association for Analytical Psychology through the Sociedad Uruguayo-Argentina de Psicologia Analitica, where she serves as a didactic analyst, clinical supervisor, and teacher in the training of new analysts. She is also a founding member of both SUAPA and AsAPA (Asociacion Argentina de Psicologia Analitica).
Fleischer holds a degree in psychology from the University of Buenos Aires and a Master of Science in Dance Movement Therapy from California State University, East Bay. She is a Registered Dance Movement Therapist by the American Dance Therapy Association and brings extensive clinical experience from hospitals and clinics in the United States, where she applied non-verbal therapeutic approaches. Her background in contemporary dance, theater, and various somatic techniques enriches her analytic practice with embodied dimensions.
She serves as co-director of the Master's Degree and Specialization Course in Dance Movement Therapy at the University of the Arts and teaches in the Master's program at UNA (National University of Arts) in Buenos Aires. Her scholarly contributions include "The symbol in the body: the un-doing of a dissociation through Embodied Active Imagination in Jungian analysis" in the Journal of Analytical Psychology (2020) and "Collective Trauma, Implicit Memories, the Body, and Active Imagination in Jungian Analysis" (2023), the latter presented as a plenary session at the XXII International Congress for Analytical Psychology in Buenos Aires in 2022. She is a founding member of the Asociacion Argentina de Danza Terapia.
