Denise Grobbelaar is a Jungian Analyst, Clinical Psychologist, and Enneagram Practitioner in private practice in Cape Town, South Africa. She earned her Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Cape Town in 2010 and completed her Bachelor of Arts and Honours through UNISA, followed by a four-year post-graduate Jungian analyst training programme. She has been in private practice since November 2011 and brings over eight years of prior experience in adult mental health at Groote Schuur and Valkenberg Hospitals, as well as leadership of Fountain House at the Cape Mental Health Society.

Grobbelaar is a member of the teaching staff for the Southern African Association of Jungian Analysts certificate course and is a regular speaker at SAAJA's Public Programme, where she has presented since 2010. She is registered with the Health Professionals Council of South Africa and is a member of SAAJA, the IAAP, and the South African Psychoanalytic Confederation. Her additional training spans mindfulness meditation, focusing, breathwork, shamanism, and trauma-informed practice, reflecting an integrative orientation that bridges analytical psychology with embodied and nature-based modalities.

Her published scholarship includes 'The White Lion as Symbol of the Archetype of the Self and the Cannibalization of the Self in Canned Hunting,' published in the Jung Journal: Culture and Psyche (2020) and reprinted in The Spectre of the Other in Jungian Psychoanalysis (2023). She offers online courses on dreamwork, the Enneagram from a depth perspective, and topics at the intersection of mythology, nature, and consciousness. Her clinical focus is primarily on individual adults for both short- and long-term depth work.
