Caterina Arcidiacono is a clinical psychologist, analytical psychologist, and Full Professor of Community Psychology at the University of Naples Federico II, where she directs the Community Psychology Lab and formerly coordinated the PhD program in Gender Studies. She is an analytical psychologist affiliated with LIRPA and the International Association of Analytical Psychology (IAAP), bringing Jungian perspectives into her broader work on community well-being, gender asymmetry, and intercultural dialogue.
Arcidiacono's career is distinguished by institutional leadership at the intersection of psychology and social justice. She is the founder of the European Network of Community Psychologists (ENCP) and the European Community Psychology Association (ECPA), of which she is a past president. She serves as Editor-in-Chief of La Camera Blu, an international journal of gender studies. Her publications include Daphne and the Centaurs: Overcoming Gender Based Violence (co-authored with Ines Testoni and Angelika Groterath) and over one hundred articles in national and international journals addressing community psychology, gender-based violence, LGBTQ communities, migration, and well-being. Her work represents a distinctive integration of Jungian analytical psychology with community-level social engagement.
