Ana Tibau Iturralde is a clinical psychologist and IAAP-certified Jungian analyst based in Quito, Ecuador, where she has practiced psychotherapy for over twenty years. She is one of the founding members of the Carl Gustav Jung Foundation of Ecuador, which was established in 1993 as a study group by Vladimir Serrano, Ana Tibau, Francisco Prado, and Iván Maldonado. She was certified as an Individual Member of the International Association of Analytical Psychology in 2016.

Tibau holds a position as a university professor at the Universidad de Las Américas (UDLA) in Ecuador, where she contributes to the training of the next generation of psychologists. Her clinical and scholarly interests center on Jungian approaches to trauma, sexuality, and the unconscious dynamics of Latin American cultures. She presented a paper titled 'Sexual Abuse and Mystical Participation' at the VIII Latin American Congress of Jungian Psychology in Bogotá, Colombia in 2018, drawing on Lévy-Bruhl's concept of participation mystique to examine abuse patterns.

She also serves as a contact for Ecuador within ARAS (Archive for Research in Archetypal Symbolism), contributing to the development of South American images, symbols, and myths within the broader Jungian scholarly community. Her long commitment to building Jungian infrastructure in Ecuador — from the original 1993 study group through formal IAAP certification — marks her as a pioneering figure in Ecuadorian analytical psychology.
