ἔρχεο, δῖʼ Εὔμαιε, κιὼν τὸν ξεῖνον ἄνωχθι ἐλθέμεν, ὄφρα τί μιν προσπτύξομαι ἠδʼ ἐρέωμαι εἴ που Ὀδυσσῆος ταλασίφρονος ἠὲ πέπυσται ἴδεν ὀφθαλμοῖσι· πολυπλάγκτῳ γὰρ ἔοικε.
