With this, Athena touched him with her golden wand. A well-washed cloak and a tunic she first of all cast about his breast, and she increased his stature and his youthful bloom.
διογενὲς Λαερτιάδη, πολυμήχανʼ Ὀδυσσεῦ.
ἤδη νῦν σῷ παιδὶ ἔπος φάο μηδʼ ἐπίκευθε,
ὡς ἄν μνηστῆρσιν θάνατον καὶ κῆρʼ ἀραρόντε
ἔρχησθον προτὶ ἄστυ περικλυτόν· οὐδʼ ἐγὼ αὐτὴ
δηρὸν ἀπὸ σφῶϊν ἔσομαι μεμαυῖα μάχεσθαι.
